About Us

On August 16, 2005, Scherer’s Architectural Antiques, LLC, replaced Scherer’s Enterprises, originally owned by Max and Jeri Scherer. Manuel Herrera worked for 30 plus years with Max and Jeri Scherer and over those years developed their same love, passion, and knowledge for preserving architectural antiques, and we continue that same tradition.

We (Manuel and Jeri Herrera) own and operate the NEW Scherer’s business from our home in Lincoln, Nebraska. Manuel pretty much handles everything as long as it is not computer related, that is my (Jeri’s) expertise. Just don’t ask me any questions on antiques!

Scherer’s Architectural Antiques, LLC is also incorporating a new division called Sand Creek Impressions, showcasing stone cast murals of sculpted artwork by Jay Tschetter. Jay is nationally known for his brick sculptures and murals. Visit www.imagesinbrick.com for more information on Jay’s beautiful pieces.

We are also showcasing stone cast replicas of architectural artifacts from historically prominent buildings that have been demolished in Omaha, Nebraska, and surrounding areas. Frank Horejsi has painstakingly saved these beautiful pieces from demolition. These timeless treasures are being replicated through the art of stone casting by Thunderstone Architectural Cast Stone in Lincoln, Nebraska. For more information on Thunderstone visit their website at www.castone.com.

We work with respectable and reliable suppliers locally, purchasing most of our inventory from the eastern Nebraska area. We also have high quality craftsmen in carpentry, iron work, glass work, re-casting, or electrical to restore those irreplaceable pieces from our past.

We hope you enjoy browsing through our site, and stop in often to see what is new. If you want to visit our shop, we are open by appointment only and closed on Saturdays, so please call (402) 423-1582 or (402) 540-1807 before coming. We are located at 9141 South 63rd Street, which is in southeast Lincoln. We are approximately 15 miles south of Interstate 80 or 3 miles south of Highway 2 & 70th street. You can also use our contact form to send us an email.

Let us help you restore your home or building to its original beauty; or we can supply you with quality vintage materials for new construction. We look forward to hearing from you!
